The diagram below summarises a suggested programme of professional development using the materials in this section. It is designed as an integrated series of workshops for KS3 teachers, with associated lessons for KS3 classes, and linked (Lesson Study-based) gap tasks.

There is comprehensive supporting guidance for both teachers participating in, and the person leading, the professional development. It is recommended that, if all five workshops are completed, the programme stretches over at least a year.
