Secondary teaching for mastery CPD opportunities now available

Secondary maths teachers can now apply to take part in the ongoing NCETM and Maths Hubs teaching for mastery CPD programmes. These fully funded professional development opportunities are available from September 2019.

From NQTs to Heads of Department, all maths teachers can benefit. There are two programmes on offer: Teaching for Mastery Work Groups and the Mastery Specialists programme.

Teaching for Mastery Work Groups allow two teachers from a school to take part. The teachers will benefit from a year-long programme of peer-to-peer and expert support. During this time, they will introduce teaching for mastery in their own classrooms and department.

Mastery Specialists are teachers who want to develop themselves and their school departments, but also take mastery beyond their own school. They undergo a three-year professional development programme and acquire NCETM Professional Development Lead status.
