New KS4 professional development materials now available

New materials to support KS4 maths teachers with their professional development and planning are now available, focusing on sequences, functions and graphs.

These resources build on the existing KS4 materials and are designed to support teachers with subject knowledge development, curriculum planning and classroom practice. As with previous themes, the materials can be used flexibly, whether working individually or as part of departmental CPD.

The new theme comprises five core concepts: exploring linear equations and inequalities; exploring non-linear sequences; exploring quadratic equations; inequalities and graphs; sequences, functions and graphs; exploring trigonometric functions.

Each core concept is broken down into smaller ‘key ideas’, the prior learning necessary for students to make progress within the KS4 area of maths. They also link to our secondary assessment materials, Checkpoints and KS3 PD materials, as well as including example questions and answers.

Download and share the new materials now, and explore the previous Key Stage 4 content, Using and applying numerical structure and Proportional reasoning; more themes will be added in the next few months.
