An overview of how the NCETM is working with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) in 2025/26

The Maths Hubs Programme is embarking on a significant milestone: an independent evaluation, funded by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), of the Specialist Knowledge for Teaching Mathematics (SKTM) Programme for Secondary Non-specialist Teachers, and, subject to final EEF Grants Committee confirmation, the Mastering Number at Reception and KS1 Programme in 2025/26.

The SKTM Programme and Mastering Number at Reception and KS1 will, subject to funding, be assessed through randomised controlled trials (RCTs)—the gold standard for educational research. Participating Maths Hubs are listed below.
