New lead institutions wanted for two Maths Hubs

Opportunities for schools, colleges or trusts to take on system leadership roles in two Maths Hub areas

New lead institutions wanted for two Maths Hubs
  • Published: 08/11/2023

Applications are now invited for institutions to take on the leadership of Yorkshire and the Humber Maths Hub and, separately, SHaW Maths Hub.

Following many successful years of leading a Maths Hub, two of our Lead Schools will no longer fulfil the role from the end of this academic year. The DfE and the NCETM are now seeking, in each case, a new school, college or trust to take on these important system leadership roles.

Leadership of a Maths Hub entails coordinating a partnership of schools, colleges and other organisations in a collaborative effort to improve maths education in an area. More information is available in these documents:

Briefing events

We strongly advise interested institutions to register for and attend online briefing events as follows:

  • SHaW Maths Hub – 24 November (0930-1100) Register
  • Yorkshire and the Humber Maths Hub – 24 November (1130-1300) Register

Registrations for the briefing events must be received by midday on Monday 20 November.

Application procedure

Applications, and all communications about the application process, are managed by the DfE using the Jaggaer eTendering portal. Applicants should initially start the process by registering as a supplier on this portal. Further details can be found on this Contracts Finder page.

Clarifications about the process can be sought via the messaging facility, or by using the email address, on the portal. A video with guidance on using the portal is also available.

The deadline for submissions is 10am on Wednesday 6 December.
